The 2021 Riesling combines intense and perfect fruit ripeness with unique mineral notes that combine slate and calcareous notes. On the palate, this is a rich, dense and intense, tight, powerful and very mineral dry Riesling of exceptional quality and length. In terms of concentration, warmth and ripeness, this could be held for an Austrian Riesling in blind tastings, and in terms of purity and mineral tension, it could be German (Nahe, Traisen Bastei). In the end, however, it is a unique and sustainable Riesling from Fläsch in Graubünden. 96/100 (06.2023)

From a cool year and based on slowly ripening grapes that were picked around mid-October, the 2021 Riesling has a discreet, rather cool but dense and complex aroma of concentrated fruits intertwined with floral, herbal and slatey as well as yeasty notes. The palate is racy and lean on the attack, with finely tightening phenolics, but this is a rich, dense, juicy Riesling with a pithy structure and citric freshness on the long-lasting finish. This is firm and less developed due to its youth, but it's already animating. It's built for the long haul. 97/100 (03.2024)
