Donatsch's 2015 Chardonnay Passion opens very clear and aromatic on the nose, with a nice spicy background coming from the calcareous detritic cone, as well as the barrel aging. On the palate this is a full-bodied, elegant, dense and powerful, yet fresh and aromatic Chardonnay with grip and a still somewhat astringent finish. Good tension and aging potential here. 91/100 (12.2016)
